"MILKY WAY OVER HERVÁS"

Jesus Sanchez collabored in this photo.

This picture was taken in Hervás (Cáceres), 10 kms. Away on the road to Honduras mountain pass, once we were away from the lights of Hervás. There was no moon yet, and the sight of the Milky Way was really impressive. The brightest point in the photograph was the planet Jupiter, which was situated at that very moment in Sagitarius constellation. When the Milky Way is situated in Sagitarius, a lot of intresting celestial bodies can be watched: The Lagoon Nebula, The Trifid Nebula, Globular Clusters, etc.
